2008 Costa Rica
Sport fishing Adventure!

You've watched others for years experiencing the fishing trip of their dreams, now it's your turn! Come with me on the ultimate fishing adventure, an all inclusive package!

Hi, I'm Capt. Pier Milito of Fishing Adventure Charters. I'm pleased to introduce myself as your Chaperone to one of the most beautiful fishing destinations on the planet, Costa Rica! I've had the privilege of experiencing the trip your about to embark on two times, and I can tell you all about it or you can experience it for your self. Not only are the people and country of Costa Rica amazing, the offshore fishing for large Pacific Sailfish, Marlin and Dorado, and Inshore fishing for Roosterfish, is in a class of its own.

Our next adventure is set for late January - early Feb. 2008 and it includes 7 days of travel and 5 full days of fishing. As your chaperon, I will accompany everyone, every step of the way. This exclusive package includes airport pickup and transfer to your hotel, in the Capital city of San Jose. Spend the night in San Jose, and experience its festive night life. Early the next morning we'll be escorted to the airport, for a scenic, 40 minute flight to the town of Golfito, on the South Pacific side of Costa Rica, minutes from Panama. In Golfito, we'll be transported by boat to the Lodge, which sits at the base of a tropical mountain rainforest, on its own beach, in perhaps one of the most beautiful areas of the world. The Lodge, accessible only by boat, Is

Golfito Sailfish Ranch, one of the most respected lodges in Costa Rica, if not the world. The lodge caters specifically to Anglers, and its entire staff is dedicated to providing you a unique, first class experience. Upon arriving at the lodge, you'll be treated to delicious full breakfast. Your Boat, captain and mate are already down there waiting for you. Believe me; they want to go out fishing as bad as you do!
The boats at Sailfish Ranch are 27ft Center counsel Ocean Masters, with inboard Cummins Diesels. Believe me; this makes all the difference in the world. Not only are the boats reliable and able to get you to the fishing grounds quickly, but they are proven fish raisers! Your conventional equipment is top of the line as well, although if Fly fishing is your game, It’s recommended you bring your own equipment, prepared in advance for the fight of your life. Your captain and mate are seasoned veterans, skilled in both conventional and fly fishing techniques. Aboard your boat, you'll also find lunches for you and the crew; fruit, water, sodas and cervesa (beer)! Two anglers per boat.

Did I mention were going in January? This is the peak season for large pacific sailfish in these waters. Watching a sailfish puncture the surface, attacking the teasers behind your boat, is thrilling in itself. Then to watch you captain and mate tease these fish to within casting distance of the back of the boat, so you can present your bait, or your fly streamer, will freeze you in an instant. This is exciting! Once hooked up, these sails, averaging 80 to 140lbs are as acrobatic as they come. Did you know that Pacific Sails are the fastest fish on the planet and can swim in excess of 65 MPH? If you didn't, your drag is going to find out in a hurry. Then again, maybe it wasn't a sailfish at all? Blue and Black Marlin from 100 to 800 lbs invade these waters. So do Yellow fin Tuna to 400lbs, and Dorado and Wahoo to 80lbs? In the midst of all this, you might see huge schools of dolphins, pilot, humpback, and possibly killer whales? On your way back to the lodge, your captain may find time to drop some lines around “the Rock"! The Roosterfish, one of the most beautiful species anywhere, thrive in these waters. These fish fight to the end, and world record fish over 100# have been hooked. Hook into one of these, and you'll be hooked for life.

As you arrive back at the lodge that evening, enjoy beautiful rooms, tropical landscaping, waterfall pools, the beach, exquisite dining, and a fully stocked OPEN BAR for the evening. Retire for the evening, only to get up and re-experience everything all over again, for the remaining 4 full days!

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. After 5 full fishing days at the ranch you will spend your last night at the lodge with an early morning breakfast prior to your transportation back to the Golfito airport for your scenic flight back to San Jose. You may chose to fly back that afternoon to the U.S. and conclude your trip. For adventurers wanting to see more of this wonderful country I will be offering an additional trip for two days to The Arenal Volcano and The Tabacon Resort. This is one of the most popular sites in Costa Rica. The volcano is located within a small rainforest and its famous for continued activity. The Tabacon resort sits at the base of the volcano, where thermal volcanic water pools, waterfalls and rivers travel through it lush landscaping. You will swim and relax in these magical and soothing waters. Monkeys and toucans are constant sites, but its the fine dining, elegant rooms and hot thermal baths and massages that make this resort one of a kind. During the evenings, lay out among the thermal pools and watch as the volcano erupts, sending glowing red hot lava and rocks down from it summit. There may not be a better place in the country to unwind. Prices for this extended trip are to be determined.

The rate for this unforgettable, once in a lifetime fishing experience is set at the all inclusive low price of $3215 per person. For 7 days, 6 nights, 5 full days of fishing, Inn country transportation, all lodge expenses, meals, and OPEN BAR, this is an awesome opportunity. Rates do not include International Flights, meals in San Jose, Airport departure tax, Gratuities to your Captain, mate and lodge staff, and possible extended trip. International flights to Costa Rica from Miami are usually between $220-300. I'd like to get the group together on this so we could travel as one, so I can answer any question that come up and provide a comfort level for those inexperienced with International Travel.

Reservations are limited; I only have 8 remaining spots available. A nonrefundable $500 deposit is required to secure your space within this adventure.
